Marquee Backup Battery Replacement |
 |
 |
 |
Your Marquee projector saves most of the setup parameters in memory chips
located on the Control Module; these memory chips need continuous three volt
power to function. To prevent loss of settings due to interruption of AC power,
the control module (see PIC 1) has mounted on it a Renata lithium power cell
(see PIC 2), type 175-0 on newer control boards, and type 500-0 on older models.
The cells do weaken over time, and are best replaced every three years on newer
projectors and every five years on earlier units; and when software is chipped up.
Soldering is required (see PICs 3, 4, 5) When replacing the Renata cells or chipping
up software, all previous settings will be lost! The user can download settings to a
PC with Marquee Librarian software (see our Downloads section) for reload after
battery replacement or chip-up; a Windows PC or laptop, and a serial comm cable are
also required. |
